This is a Brain Map of (Loren King)

During my residency at Creativity Explored, I was fortunate to collaborate with Loren King. Together we created this series of Brain Maps. Loren looked closely at each subject to decide how to represent them through different colors, quantities and lengths of yarn. We combined the yarn with paper pulp to capture the shapes of each person's brain. I mounted the dried paper with yarn inclusions on paper, and then Loren drew on top of them.
